Shelley Porter-Walker received her Bachelor of Arts in Drama at UNCA in 2006. Two years ago, she moved back to her home town of Salisbury (new husband in tow), and began designing costumes for the children’s productions at the new Norvell Theatre. In fact, this is her first “non-PPT” show in Salisbury, and she is thrilled to be a part of this production. She has designed costumes for many shows in Asheville and Salisbury, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream (in both towns), Macbeth (NC Stage Co.), and The Jungle Book Kids and Comedy of Errors at the Norvell. She started her costume, clothing, and jewelry design business: “Hollow Hills Couture” in 2008, and now does alterations and individual designs for clients across the state.
